Dario Salzgeber

Qualifications	Student at Bern University of Applied Sciences, Architecture, Civil and Wood Engineering reading Bachelor in Wood Engineering, 5^th semester, Graduation 2010, Switzerland.
Background	Dario is experiencing 10 months practical training at Queensland Primary Industries and Fisheries (DEEDI) for his study in wood engineering and major product development.
Role in the Cocowood Improvement project	Dario is preparing his bachelor thesis on the ’Definition of appropriate grading standards and quality control systems for sawn cocowood to be used for flooring (high density) and secondary products (low density)’.
Interests	Dario’s research interests are in wood product development, generally. He is motivated by the ideal that timber will become a more common choice as a natural and sustainable basic material. In his free time Dario likes to explore Australia’s treasures, socializing and learning to surf.
