Background

Dr Michael Kennedy has worked in the chemistry of forest products and forest product processing, with emphasis on the natural durability of wood, resistance mechanisms against degradation, timber preservation, and analytical chemistry. He has led DPI&F’s Forest Products R&D since 2003. For many years before that he led the Forest Products Chemistry group.

Role in the Cocowood Improvement project

Michael is interested in most things other than football. He tends to be categorised as a nerd – likes technology, books and music much more than partying!
